Our Mission is to ask and answer critical questions in identifying why and how cancer metastasizes. We do this by conducting innovative and advanced research in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive research environment.
Our Research focus is to study the basic mechanisms of non-protein coding RNAs called long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) to target them and use them as biomarkers, diagnostics, and new therapies.

Our research begins by obtaining patient cancer samples (or available patient data), sequence the samples with various methods of next generation sequencing technologies, identify de-regulated long non-coding RNAs and their associated protein interactions and RNA modifications, then use advanced technologies to characterize their function and mechanisms for creating novel lncRNA therapies.
